Normal round

In a normal round, any player will see answers submitted by other players and is free to copy or "lem" another player's answer and submit it as his or her own.

The current game round, the question category and point value are displayed in white text on a blue background as the five-second warning timer ticks down, changing from  green  to  yellow  to  red  until it expires and the question is exposed.

Blind round

In a blind round, nobody see answers submitted by other players, so nobody can submit another player's answer as his or her own.

The current game round, the question category and point value are displayed in white text on a teal background as the five-second warning timer ticks down, changing from  green  to  yellow  to  red  until it expires and the question is exposed.

Gambit round

In a gambit round, a betting dialog gives a player the opportunity to bet he or she can answer the question correctly.

The current game round, the question category and point value are displayed in white text on a green background as the 7.5-second gambit timer ticks down, changing from  green  to  yellow  to  red  until it expires and the betting window closes.

While gambit the timer is active, a player may bet 2x, 3x, or 4x the value of the current question by clicking the corresponding betting button or pressing {Ctrl} 2, {Ctrl} 3 or {Ctrl} 4.

When the gambit timer expires, the warning timer is activated as in a Normal Round.

Blind gambit round

In a blind gambit round, a betting dialog gives a player the opportunity to bet he or she can answer the question correctly.

The current game round, the question category and point value are displayed in bold white text on a purple background. The 7.5-second gambit timer ticks down, changing from  green  to  yellow  to  red  until it expires and the betting window closes.

While gambit the timer is active, a player may bet 2x, 3x, 4x or 10x the value of the current question by clicking the corresponding betting button or pressing {Ctrl} 2, {Ctrl} 3, {Ctrl} 4 or {Ctrl} S.

When the gambit timer expires, the warning timer is activated as in a Blind Round.

Twiddled & Diddled

Once and only once, in every block of 20 questions, a random player is singled out to be twiddled or diddled.

TWIDDLED

The selected player is awarded a 5-second head start to answer the question. Players who aren't among the game's leading scorers always get twiddled.

DIDDLED

The selected player must wait an extra 5 seconds while everyone else has the opportunity to answer the question. Only the game's leading scorers get diddled.
